Raising our game to help homeless youth
Through the power of hockey, we aim to break the cycle of homelessness for Canadian youth by providing them with opportunities, resources, and a chance to regain control of their lives.
Universal Logistics has supported the Hockey Helps the Homeless fantasy hockey fundraiser since 2017.
Across Canada, the harsh reality is that approximately 30,000 individuals find themselves without a home on any given night. It’s a heartbreaking statistic that calls for action and compassion. That’s where Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) steps in—a Canadian registered charity passionate about raising awareness and financially supporting people experiencing homelessness. Through education, fundraising, and partnerships with local homeless support agencies, HHTH strives to make a lasting impact. But what truly sets HHTH apart is its renowned nationwide fantasy hockey tournaments. These tournaments bring together hockey enthusiasts, both players and fans, to unite for a common cause.
At Universal Logistics, we are honoured to be long-standing supporters of HHTH since 2017. We proudly sponsor the York Region event, where the proceeds directly benefit two incredible organizations: 360°kids and Blue Door Shelters. These organizations work tirelessly to assist vulnerable youth and at-risk families, helping them overcome crises and transition to a state of safety and stability.
As part of our commitment, we organize an annual employee fundraising campaign that ignites the spirit of giving within our organization. Our dedicated employees can win exciting prizes by surpassing their fundraising goals and improving our community. But it doesn’t stop there — our company is equally committed to making a difference.
