We have been using Universal Logistics as long as I’ve been with Lubricor, well over 8 years. I am very appreciative of all the ways that each and every different person at Universal has helped. We ship regularly full sea containers, and when the VGM forms came in as a requirement, the Ocean team stepped up to help guide me on how to ensure we were completing it correctly. Also, when some of our freight became hazardous, they aided in filling out the IMO forms.

Here at Grainger we were fortunate to find Universal Logistics who were able to help us with an urgent project that lasted approximately ten months. We partnered with Universal to warehouse and process some merchandise that eventually was sent back to our supplier base in Canada and the United States. We also worked to dispose of merchandise through an additional third-party provider and redeployed/relabeled merchandise that transitioned back into our distribution network.
This project required coordination with the Grainger/AGI Transportation department, the Grainger inventory area, Compliance management, Export and other internal business partners on an ongoing basis which Universal performed in a seamless manner.
The project that we worked on required agility and flexibility as the requirements of this project changed a few times and Universal was up to the challenge. We did not have the time required to create a systemic solution, so we had to exchange data manually. This can be incredibly frustrating, but the contacts we worked with were always willing to do whatever it took to get the job done.
During the time that we worked together, we found all of our Universal contacts to be professional, collaborative and very easy to work with.
If we have a need or requirement in the future, we would not hesitate to work with Universal and I would recommend them highly to anyone who was considering Universal as a business partner.
